About Us - Alpha Omega Artisan

Alpha Omega Artisan is a social business in Guatemala with one clear goal: to alleviate poverty for families, one family at a time.  We guarantee is the 100% of profits are reinvested to train, equip, and provide opportunities for artisans to earn a living wage.

 Guatemala is a beautiful country filled talented, hard-working people who deserve the chance to thrive. Yet poverty is widespread- according to UNICEF nearly 49% of Guatemalans live in poverty, 43% of children are undernourished and only 5% of children in rural areas finish high school. These challenges deepened after the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2019, our founders traveled to Guatemala to volunteer for HOPE Worldwide Guatemala.  The experience was life-changing.  Surrounded by majestic volcanoes and the "land of eternal spring" climate, we were most inspired by the warmth, resilience, and creativity of the people.  That trip planted the seed for Alpha Omega Artisan, a company designed to support artisans and their communities.    

Today, we collaborate with artisans to create and sell handmade leather totes, purses, and hats with traditional Guatemalan textiles.  Every purchase directly supports a Guatemalan family and builds a brighter future for their children.
